Annual Horticultural Show

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog and my first blog post 😀 I thought I’d let you know what I’m up to this weekend…

I’ve taken loads of pictures on our allotment in the last few months and I’m picking some images that I’m going to enter into our local gardening club‘s  26th Annual Horticultural Show in September.  I missed the opportunity to enter last year because it was our allotment’s Open Day on the day of the show.  This year, it’s the week after so I’m really excited to be able to enter.  All for fun of course :). There’s a category for photography: ‘A photo of any garden subject’

I’ve decided to put 6 entries in! Thought I’d share them with you to see what you think…

I found these beautiful poppy heads lying around on my friend’s allotment so popped them on my hessian potato bag, wanted an arty look to them 🙂

There have been so many ladybirds basking in the sun this year on our plot. I spotted this little lady on a strawberry leaf, I just love the contrasting colours!

Here today gone tomorrow… these beautiful poppies were on the path leading up to our allotment, I managed to capture them before all the petals blew away.

Our lovely wellies are pride of place on our allotment garden and I just couldn’t leave them out! 🙂

This cheeky little snail was having a nice time hiding in our plant pots on the lottie and I managed to capture his little eyes! 😀

Still flourishing now, our wild flower patch has been amazing this year! All from a cheap packet of seeds.  I can’t wait to extend this patch next year 🙂

I’ve got mounts cut for all my pictures to display them, so hopefully they will look the real deal 😀
