In the words of Louis Armstrong… “Hello, Dolly… It’s so nice to have you back where you belong” 🙂 and indeed it is. After mine and Jassy’s Allotment Tour on Saturday, I spotted a dolly tub in it’s full glory on a neighbours plot . I posted this picture to Instagram…
After lots of chat and surfing the net, I’m so excited and grateful to my Instagram friend Angelyn @sparebuttondesign for going on a mission for me after finding a second hand dolly tub on ebay 🙂
The idea of having a dolly tub on the plot came from a fantastic book I found at the library a few weeks ago called ‘Teeny Tiny Gardening’ by Emma Hardy.
It’s a superb book, full of projects for small spaces for the garden and in your house. Having a diddy shady garden at our house, makes us want to focus all our efforts and attention to our little lottie plot 🙂 Not only will this look lovely and vintage on the allotment, we will have more pretty flowers and food for the bees! 😀
I’ll keep you posted with how it’s coming along. My next step is to research what autumnal plants we can pop in there, before winter wraps its blanket around everything! 🙂 If you have any suggestions, please let me know, I’d love some help.
