Flowers, Pumpkins, Chives & New Tools

We’ve had an action packed weekend this weekend. A visit to Barnfield allotments which is near Bramhall. They had a plant sale in the afternoon. The heavens opened and didn’t stop raining! Us allotmenteers are hardened to the elements and people could’t resist a bargin. It was great to see so many people turn out, hoods up, armed with brollies 😀 We met our friend Becky who has an allotment there and did a spot of shopping. There was so many different plants to choose from. I’ve bought some pumpkins and chives for our plot. We took shelter from the rain and enjoyed delicious homemade cake and coffee 🙂

It just gets better… I treated myself to two new hand tools from Sainsburys, they’ve got lovely wooden handles 🙂 I can use them to plant my two Verbascum plants that I bought in the week. They are vintage looking – so pretty 🙂
