Can you believe it’s December already? It only feels like yesterday we were down on the allotment, watering the plot and sat watching the bees. But it’s here… The month on mine and Mr.B’s growing calendar, the pilgrimage to the plot to harvest our goodies for Christmas dinner.
We’ll be enjoying :
- Carrots
- Sprouts
- Savoy Cabbage
- Parsnips
We even have some spuds left over from this years harvest that are doing really well 🙂 We keep building on our growing repertoire each year. With the colder weather coming in this week, it should work its magic and make everything taste nice and sweet. I’ll get out to the allotment tomorrow morning with my camera… I’m hoping for some frost with the chilly temperatures expected tonight (keeping my fingers crossed 🙂 )
So Happy December to you all, if you’re growing your veg for Christmas dinner I’d love to hear what you’ll be enjoying 🙂

Yay! But did you get your garlic in yet? (Says he smugly having finally done it last week, and a few green shoots poking up already!)
Well… I did put garlic in this year in february, they started to grow green shoots then then all died off 😦 or so I thought…. 😀 They seem to be shooting lovely long green shoots, so I’m going to leave them till the spring and see what’s happening! Good to hear yours are doing well *smug face* 😀
Ooo that sounds promising. Good luck!
It’s quite a bit colder this week down here in Devon so it finally feels like December.
