…a little April shower! I have to say the weather has been rather lovely in the last few weeks π Not much rain at all. The allotment needs some though, the earth is so dry and cracked. Mr.B, Jassy and me went out on saturday, afternoon for a walk along the canal. It started out nice and sunny, the birds singing away and the ducks relaxing on the path. The bees we’re out in full force enjoying the flowers. They must have been busy, they had big yellow pollen sacks on their legs π
We could see a rather large and mischievous looking cloud in the distance, but we kept on walking π The flowers were looking beautiful along the paths and in people’s gardens π
We’d been walking for about an hour when we had to run for cover under a bridge…
We didn’t have to wait long for the rain to pass. We made our way to the pub for a spot of lunch π Jassy wasn’t impressed with the rain π
Hope you all had a nice weekend. Have a great week π

Beautiful pictures, used to love walks like that :0)
ahw, love the bumble bee!
Awww lovely. Did you know that the yellow centre in those forget-me-nots means they have nectar available, once the flower has been pollinated its centre fades to white so that pollinators don’t waste their time.
Wow that’s amazing Emily, I didn’t know that! I’m going to look at them more closely now. Nature is superb π I’ve got some in the garden, I’m going to have a look in the morning π thanks for letting me know buzz buzz π
There’s some more flowers that have colour signals for bees, I did a post about it at http://adventuresinbeeland.com/2014/11/02/3rd-honey-bee-products-and-forage-revision-post-an-account-of-the-information-that-clover-field-geranium-forget-me-not-and-horse-chestnut-communicate-to-the-honey-bee/ – love how clever plants are!
Brilliant I’ll have a look at this π thanks for sharing x
Sure the plants appreciated the rain π My allotment’s only had a little drizzle for weeks and weeks!
Oh yes everywhere needs a good drink. I think it’s supposed to get a bit wetter later on in the week… X
You take some belting photos Kaz π
Thanks Shaun π had my trusty iPhone with me on Saturday π always handy to have when you’re out and about x
iPhones take the best pics. My friend told me about macro lenses that you can buy for them to take really close up pics. Not that expensive from a popular online retailer.
You have good photography skills to go with the iPhone, keep the pics coming they are great.

I’ve got a lense like that they are pretty cool! Should use it more π thanks for the lovely comment Shaun π
Oh how we envy you all that rain. You’ve captured a beautiful collection of flowers and bees. The bees are hard to keep up with and I find many of my shots are blurred. I love watching them.
Your little pup has the sweetest face. Overall a nice day.
It’s always fascinating to walk by water, there’s so much to see, shame about the rain!
